Between Daoud and David - Lateef Olagoke

"I heard there was a secret code that David sang and it pleased the Lord..." Now that's a biblical song. But wait. Isn't David the man who authored 'Songs of David'?


Lemme tell you a few things about Daoud (David) in the Quran. He was a renowned prophet who attained closeness to his Lord through consistent praises. He had one of the longest nawafils (meaning voluntary prayers). The guy dey pray too much so the Lord had to listen.


I don't really believe in lengthy nawafils to attain closeness to the Lord but if you've got the muscle and patience, it works.


I'll one day collaborate to do a compendium on the similarities in religion and prove beyond doubt that religion is the path of man towards the Incomprehension of our existence. No need to fight.
