Biafra has no clear plans, it's another ego trip - Olu Adegoke

You don't get it, I am not mocking you because you are Igbo. We are one family, there is nothing like Yoruba race, Hausa race, Ijaw race, Igbo race, Efik race; we are all black people. It is foolish of anyone to think that we are different because we speak different languages.
Our proximity suggest that using the social network theory of six degrees of separation we are related to each other by blood. I mean the people of Nigeria. Before the people from the west came visiting we had been migrating and relating with each other. There is no way we can have a total pure blooded group because years of intermarriage and relationships would mean NNamdi KANU might have a blood of Shekau in him. His great ancestors might be from the north. It is therefore intellectually foolish of anyone to look down on any tribe. We are one people.
I however will mock any stupid move regardless of whoever is making the move. I will mock any Yoruba person who will call other people derogatory names or who will claim that we are Jews. All stupid retrogressive ideology must be condemned. The same way we considered that lunatic Shekau a fool is the same way we see KANU as an imbecile for calling other people goats and animals.

We need to look beyond 9th venture AD village banters to see that we are in this ship together. We face the same recession, the same poverty and the same oppressors. We need to call out those who will hold us back. I don't see the Germans come to the aid of Hitler anytime Americans describe him as a demagogue. They own that part of their history. Whichever way you want to twist and turn it, the civil war was a needless war of ego. We need to move past that and face our current challenges.

Others are launching driverless cars, robot police and satellites, we need to move on. There is no wisdom reinventing the wheel. Only a fool does that.

It is clear that those who were shouting Biafra had no clear plans. It is just another ego trip. It is unrealistic at least for the moment. If anyone think otherwise, take up the challenge from the youths of the north. If not, then we need to get this over with and concentrate our energy at redeeming our
nation from rogues in power. They are everywhere. We need a declaration against them.

Olu Adegoke is a social commentator.
