When you're online...
Remember to come with your hijab. Remember to come with your hayaa. Remember that there are preying eyes all over the internet. Remember that there are wolves, ready to eat you alive and there are vultures, waiting to feast on your carcass. Remember that there are evil eyes and there are devilish minds.
Don't give up your bashfulness in the name of social media. Don't trade your family for online pseudo-friends. Don't get addicted to the extent of paying less attention to your husband and children. There are so many sex-starved and love-deprived men out there, seeking for attention and gratification via chats.
Beware of gossip hubs which are disguised as female-only secret groups. Beware of backbiting and slandering. Beware of discussing your marital affairs with, or divulging your husband's secrets to total strangers. Beware of fake online counsellors, internet muftis and Google sheikhs who give advice without true knowledge.
Before you do anything on these virtual platforms, ask yourself, "would I do this in real life?"
