Just before you make that stupid decision to get married and have kids, How much do you earn?

Just before you make that stupid decision to get married and have kids.

1. How much do you earn?

2. Do you know how much the average rent in lagos costs? Or do you plan to bring your wife into daddy's house or you are hoping her rich father will pay your rent?

3. Have you seen the costs of pampers? Do you know how much a full time nanny costs?

4. Montessori nko? You want your child to go to a good school yeah?

5. Feeding? Transportation? Bills? Parties? Outings?

You earn 150k a month. You have a savings of 1million naira in your account. But you plan to use all that savings for a 'society wedding'. To feed people who dont give a shit about you. To impress people who will still talk trash about your wedding anyway. To show off to your inlaws? To prove to people that you have arrived?

What happened to going to the registry with your wife and family, and having a good buffet chinese dinner afterwards?

People will insult you abi?

Are they feeding you or fucking you?

Why should their opinion matter?

You can always have a society wedding at any fucking time!

My parents did not go to the registry until 2008. They went to the registry and church and had a VERY BIG WEDDING!

People could not believe they had been married for so many years. My mum wore a beautiful wedding gown. I was her cheif brides maid and she had 5 bridesmaid!

She wanted the wedding of her dreams and my dad gave her that when he could afford to!

Cut your coat according to your size!

Stop wasting money on irrelevant things you can not afford!

A bella naija wedding is not by force!

If your girlfriend is insisting otherwise, you can be sure as hell she is not the one for you!

If you like spend all your money on a stupid wedding, I will come. I will eat your food. I will give you cooler as wedding gift. And if two months later you can not afford rent, I will be the first person to shame you!
