The show of shame by the students and management of University of Ibadan, It's a vicious cycle.

And they travel abroad and see for themselves how things are being done, then come back to Nigeria to be behaving like that boy who grew up in Igbajo and never went through the four walls of university.
I remember one of my lecturers said to us in one of the classes that if our parents could afford better, then we wouldn't have been there.
I took just one look at the nincompoop, her DNA filled with stupidity, I thought to myself can she afford better? Ode!!
Those were the kind of mediocres I came across as a student of the University of Ibadan and a few lovely ones.

I remember it was that time of the year when I always pressured my dad for summer, so I walked up to this lecturer to give me a letter that I was a Bona fide student of the University, because she had given me a letter like twice, the next thing I was told is: is it every year you travel to England ? She denied me a letter until late Prof Kola Olu Owolabi called her and she grudgingly obliged. Those were the people I had dealings with, no wonder I had a plan B for a second degree.
Those are some of the mediocres we dealt with!
Such a shame!!! They aren't educated, but only crammed to pass exams and kissed asses to be Professors.
And the students, they all act like garage touts, angered majorly because of poverty and got into university with high hopes of being refined and end of being disappointed and knowing that their 'almighty university' is another 'Egbeda local government' with a fence around it.
Some of these garage touts graduate and become lecturers with myopic views and knowledge and new touts come in hoping to be refined and also end up being disappointed, and the vicious cycle continues.
It's a sorry state.
