I ought to go upright and strong and speak the rude truth in all ways. Goodness must have some rough edges to it- or else it is false. The doctrine of hatred must be preached as the counteraction of the doctrine of love: else we be hypocrites and cowards; who smile at all things in politeness whether they be right or wrong.
God hates as much as He loves. He hates evil. He hates falsity. Christ died for all, but also plaited a whip and forcefully whipped money-changers out of the temple- that was rude!? (Wouldn't you say?)
But as for us... we deem it wrong to hate. We are compromised by politeness; and this compromise is our silence and tolerance of evil simply because we deem it rude to call Satan by name. Like an adult who molested you as a child; which secret you kept out of fear as you let a child molester go unpunished.
We are molested all around but don't speak up for fear or politeness sake. We are molested by oppressive governments and politicians: molested by overbearing employers: molested by teachers who demand more than learning: by meddlesome relatives who feign concern yet with private agendas: we are molested by thieving pastors and evangelists who tell you that a seed N100,000 is of more value to God than a seed of N1000...because you know, God counts your money not your heart. We are molested all around.
Yet we embrace or molesters and oppressors. We thus become liars to ourselves and as evil as they.
