The reality is that many of the people you do things for to help move them forward in life, might not come back to say thank you - Pastor Sola Osunmakinde

You must learn to resist the pitfall of expecting people to whom you are nice, to be nice to you as well

Or of thinking that people you are fair to, will of a necessity treat you fairly in return.

The reality is that many of the people you do things for to help move them forward in life, might not come back to say thank you.

This always happens, and that is when your real motive for doing what you do will be revealed, whether you did it expecting something in return or you did it just out of a heart of love

It is only the latter reason that will help you not become unnecessarily angry and bitter in life.

If you do it for the first reason, you are in for a rude shock.

For this cause, many are bitter and offended, and have shut their hearts from helping any other person that comes their way

The interesting thing I've found out is that you might have helped ten people, but it is that eleventh person you help that will really make you smile and bless a lot of people in return, but if you are already offended because of the behavior of the earlier ones, you would have shut your heart against this.

Therefore Solomon said "In the morning, sow your seed; and in the evening, do not withhold your hand, for you don't know which of them will prosper, either this or that, or if both will do well" (Ecclesiastes 11:6)

Listen, one thing is for sure; you can never be disappointed if your major motivation is love

For as it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:8...

Love never fails.
