Many people are naturally stupid and brainless - Onyeka Nwelue
People don't learn. Many of us are naturally stupid, ignorant, dense, brainless, mindless, foolish, dull-witted, witless, slow, dunce-like, simple-minded, empty-headed, vacuous, vapid, half-witted, idiotic, moronic, imbecilic, obtuse when it comes to living.
Here is the problem: we think we will live forever, so we keep planning and postponing things. You hear banal things like: "I will publish this book in 2 years. I will release my album in 5 years." Oh well, when you speak, the submissively religious ones will remind you of having faith that you will be alive, but they have seen people wake up, trying to cross the street and get hit by a car. They die. You chat with someone on Facebook today and tomorrow, they are no more.
I have learnt to live my life by every minute and second. I am always ready for what will happen. You mustn't be like me - but the way we spend time, weeping when people die and regretting not being nice to them, shows a lot. I get threatened every day. But, here is the question: what is the point of the threat? What will be will be. We can't live forever, but our legacy will remain forever.
That's important.
What have you achieved in the short time you have spent here on earth?
