I don't hate people but I hate sycophants. Nigeria is a textbook case of sycophancy. If you teach nonsense where things work, your students will tell you to your face. But where I come from, you see hypocrites praising every pathetic no-brainier who ever stood to teach them. It is called respect but I think it is hypocrisy. 

We can never have the nation of our dream if all we do is praise-sing mediocre. Honour is of no value if not well apportioned. I have never in my life praised morons. Have you ever read the acknowledgment page of most dissertations written by African students? The list is usually long, they include all the names of the blockheads they ever came across as students; this is usually done to garner undeserved favours; they have probably forgotten that acknowledgment page is for those who contributed somewhat to the work.
