Why are Nigerian married women reffered to as Engr. Mrs or Dr. Mrs, This is another silly way a society tries to give women the impression that marriage supercedes all other achievements. I wouldn't be so angry if they gave men same impression - Nkechi Bianze

As long as there are no such titles like Dr. Mr., Engr. Mr., Barr. Mr....etc; titles like Dr. Mrs., Engr. Mrs., Barr. Mrs....etc will never make sense to me.

If there's no need to indicate that the man who has a professional (or any other) title is married, there should be no need to indicate that the woman who has a professional title is married.

This is another silly way a society tries to give women the impression that marriage supercedes all other achievements. I wouldn't be so angry if they gave men same impression.

By the virtue of the fact that I have an Engineering degree and licensed to practice Engineering in at least one country, I can legally go by the title "Engr.". Let me get married and see that person that will refer to me as Engr. Mrs. Or let me have my PhD and see that yeye human being that will refer to me as Engr. Dr. Mrs.

Heaven knows I will sue you for everything you are worth. You must be rich before you think of committing such fuckery, so that suing you will be worth it.

Nonsense, titles and fuckeries!
