Most rapes occur within the home.


Domestic violence occurs within the home.


The worst subjugation of women happen within the home.


Evil widowhood practices occurs within families and homes.


Female genital mutilation occurs within family and the home.


Strict gender roles which suggest a " superior sex" cannot do certain things as it is beneath them is gender inequality.


To know all these and say you support gender equality in work and outside the home but not within the home is something I have not been able to understand. To call people who believe equality should start from the home misguided is laughable. If there is anywhere equality is desperately needed, it is within the home.


What you want to see in the wider society must start from the home.
